After earning a BSBA in Business Administration from University of Denver, Joy dove into the world of sales and marketing, securing a position in the highly-competitive and fast-paced computer industry with NCR Corporation selling mainframe computers over a nine-state territory. After she and her husband moved to Seattle, she had a successful career at Microsoft Corporation focusing on sales, marketing and management. She and her husband, Jamer, own Professional Wine Storage, Inc., with a local facility in Bellevue (Eastside Wine Storage — underneath the QFC on Bellevue Way) and one in Portland, OR. Joy and her husband are also co-owners of Stemgrip, LLC; Stemgrip is a little gadget for your dishwasher to safely wash your high-end wine glasses.
Joy has raised two incredible daughters who have both graduated from college and are well on their way in the real world! In addition to her career and family, Joy serves on the board of Seattle Children's Guild Association. She helped found the Eleanor Henry Reed Guild and the We Believe Guild; both guilds raise money for uncompensated care at Seattle Children’s. Joy also actively supports Hopelink. She is an avid tennis player, skier, gardener and aspiring chef.
