My Work Philosophy

Buying or selling a home isn’t just about real estate. Usually there is an important event underlying the decision to make a purchase and/or sale. My job as a real estate professional is to help my clients make the best real estate decisions during those critical times of change.

Island Life

What’s the recipe for a perfect place to live? For those who call Bainbridge Island home, it would be this: a close-knit community surrounded by water and the scenic beauty of two mountain ranges, just a short ferry ride to a phenomenal city. Some of the elements that make Bainbridge special are easily defined: a top school system, numerous parks, great health care, a variety of shopping and restaurants and an active arts community.

About Me

I grew up on Cape Cod and moved west in 1997. Bainbridge Island was the first place I visited but it took me a few more years to make it my home, after completing a graduate program at the University of Washington. With the birth of our first child my husband and I were looking to put down roots and we knew Bainbridge would be the perfect place to do it. We now have two wonderful children and feel fortunate to be raising them in such a fantastic community. The friendships we have made, the beautiful surroundings and strong sense of community are all reasons that we have chosen to make the island our permanent home.

I was licensed as a real estate broker since 2004 and a managing broker in 2015. Prior to working in real estate I was an ecological statistician for the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Association, Fisheries Division. I have a M.S. in quantitative ecology from the University of Washington. This translates well to my current profession; a crucial role I play is to synthesize large data sets down to the crucial pieces, and translate them into meaningful information for my clients. This is critical to buyers and sellers in today's information-saturated economy.
