About Marvin

Marvin Jensen bought his first property — a triplex with a college friend — as a senior in college, and he's been in real estate ever since. After a stretch in commercial and investment real estate, he moved into residential, where he's stayed, building a practice around the clients he understands best.

Marvin is the Associate Broker and Premier Director at Windermere Real Estate – Utah, and the creator of the Simpler Living Method: a structured, concierge-level process built specifically for Salt Lake City empty nesters and downsizers. It guides clients through four steps — the Kick-off, Implementation, Going Live, and Offer & Closing — so they have one point of contact from the first conversation at the kitchen table to the wire transfer that lands a few days after closing.

The work is personal for him. After his parents passed, Marvin and his sisters spent months sorting through the home they'd lived in for almost sixty years — a time capsule packed with a thousand moments, with no roadmap and no one walking them through it. That experience shapes how he works today: he brings in a trusted vendor for every part of the process — organizers, estate sale specialists, stagers, photographers — so his clients get the help his family didn't have.

When the work is done, the phrase he hears most from clients is that a weight has lifted. That moment — freedom, a fresh start, a life that keeps building somewhere a little simpler — is why he still loves the work.

Outside of real estate, Marvin is usually on a mountain bike, hiking the canyons around Salt Lake, or beach-camping in Baja with his dog Winston riding shotgun. He reads more than he probably should — Ryan Holiday, James Clear, Marcus Aurelius — and the philosophy from those pages shows up in how he runs his business: deliberate, patient, and oriented toward the long game.
