OREGONIAN SINCE 1976: My family is from upstate New York. I was born near the Finger Lakes, Canandaugia, New York.I have lived in Cottage Grove and Eugene, Oregon. In 1987 I relocated to Ashland,Oregon. Great move on my part.
This is a laid back University town with diversity and outdoor living. It is  a wonderful place to live! Theater, Arts, local food prepared exquisitely, beautiful outdoor scenery and the PCT, Soda Mt Wilderness and Mt Ashland right out our back door.
