Laurie was tremendous to work with. She explained the entire selling process thoroughly so I knew exactly what to expect. She worked closely with the contractor to get the house ready for sale. Once on the market she kept me informed all the time as to how many people attended open houses, how many were reviewing the property online, etc. Laurie is a very honest and sincere person and very easy to work with. We were buying and selling home within a very small window of time. It was more complicated and stressful than we had imagined.
Laurie, stepped in and helped navigate this sale, to keep us within that time frame.
We had to take a ferry back and forth to the house we were selling and couldn't be there to supervise the work that was being done, to make sure we would get top dollar for the house. She became our eyes and ears and made sure there wouldn't be any last minute details that would prevent the sale from going thru.
Bottom line, the first person who saw it bought it at the price we asked.
We are very grateful for Laurie's support and experience, as we are now enjoying the happy outcome we all wanted worked for.

There are not enough good comments I can make about Laurie. She was truly invaluable to me.
I became aware of her in my neighborhood through the food drives she manages under the wonderful “giving tree” in the corner of her yard and, of course, the Windermere flyers I occasionally received.
After our first meeting, she knew a sale was not imminent since I had only a vague timeline. Thank goodness she agreed that she would be available when the time came.
I came to her as an absolutely uninformed client. She was always available with answers or suggestions - and became completely involved when unexpected issues arose. After I was no longer living in the house, she was the one overseeing the many needed changes and repairs, including finding and scheduling the right people to make the changes. And of course this required innumerable trips to the house.
Selling is a monumental transition - and Laurie had to sometimes put on her psychologist’s hat to provide support. That replaced her contractor’s hat…her designer’s hat….her pest control hat….her cleaning services hat…..on and on.
I hope I have the opportunity to refer her to someone - especially if they need anything like the help I needed….and received.

For decades my family lived in the Seaview area of Edmonds and would frequently see the lovely "Giving Tree" in Laurie's front yard. We learned that she collected items for the food bank and other local charities, so when it came time to downsize and list our family home, Laurie's altruistic nature drew us to her. Due to her help in the successful sale of our family residence, we considered none other than Laurie to help us find our new home! After several "wishy-washy" moments on our end, Laurie stuck with us through it all and we are now comfortably (and happily) settled in our new condo in the heart of Edmonds. Laurie sure had a challenge in selling my home! My renters trashed the house before vacating. Took 2 weeks just to haul away garbage. I was sure Laurie would withdraw after the first walk thru. She had to deal with an owner in Denmark and the owners' designated repair/renovation co. Luckily she does not scare easily and was able to see the house was a true Cinderella. It took 6 months to bring the property up to sales standard. During that time we had a lot of e-mails back and forth, educating me on what was possible and how the real estate market operated in Seattle. I first met Laurie Barrow at the signing. By then I had gotten to know her well. She is a terrific agent who loves a challenge (which I and my house truly were!). Laurie knows how to bring a house to market and get the price the seller deserves. The one quality she has which sold me on her was her empathy for my situation. My house represented my pension. Selling marked the end of a period in my life. Once the house reached market it was sold within a week.

Laurie is absolutely amazing to have as a Realtor. She not only listens to what you have to say but drives you in the right direction. After looking house to house, My fiancé and I were getting discouraged and frustrated and wanted to just settle on a house that we knew wasn’t our dream home and Laurie made sure to always keep a positive attitude and keep our spirits up.
