Joyce is so knowledgeable about the Community, and reads her clients very well. Nobody appreciates a "buyer's remorse" situation and awareness of the Buyer and Seller's needs plays heavily into the homes she chooses to share with prospective buyers. As an appraiser for sellers she reads the market so well and has been right on target with a fair listing price. From listing to closing her attention to detail made for a very smooth process. Not all realtors make it through the ups and downs of the times but Joyce has stayed in the game because of a very successful track record.

This was my third purchase/sale with Joyce. Joyce is everything you'd want an agent to be. She pays close attention to what you want and need and provides information continuously through the process. Her relationship with other agents, loan officers, title folks etc is strong and she's not afraid to push for what her buyer/seller needs and she does it all with grace and class.
She goes out of her way for all of her clients while somehow making you feel as though you are her only priority. :)

SHE KNOWS THE BUSINESS! Joyce helped me sell my condo in downtown Tacoma. I was expecting to sell for high 200's, but after she assessed my property, including the condition, location, amenities, etc., she listed and sold it for more the $50K above what I was expecting. She made the listing process effortless. Within days she scheduled professional photos and made beautiful info sheets advertising my property. She also strategically placed laminated info cards throughout the condo so potential buyers wouldn't miss out on important details about the property and the neighborhood. Most importantly, when the right offer came in, Joyce was my champion. Her extensive knowledge with current operational and legal aspects of buying and selling real estate was invaluable. She was so patient with me. She helped me understand and work through negotiations for both the big AND small aspects of the sale. In the end I felt like both parties (buyer and seller) were treated fairly, equitably, and achieved best possible outcome. This was important to me. And even after the sale was final, we still keep in touch. She's a wonderful person, and a magnificent agent. She has my highest recommendation!

We are so lucky to have met Joyce Shipley when we were leaving a condo property. Not only did she show us a unit more to our liking there, she soon got us in to see some condo units in another building that we wanted to see that we're just coming back on the market. We were offered a great deal on the perfect space for us in the optimal location for us. All that was left to do was sell our house. Joyce got someone in who helped stage it properly with our own furniture and she did an accurate comp check so that it was priced fairly and at just the right time. It sold at full price to someone who seems to love it as much as we did. We kept pinching ourselves expecting some glitch but the sale of our house and purchase of our new condo all closed smoothly in just over a month. We couldn't be happier with the responsive and professional service and highly recommend Joyce Shipley.

My husband and I were connected with Joyce quite by chance when we called a number on a listing and Joyce was the agent who turned up. That house never worked out for good reasons, but we were so impressed with Joyce that we sought her out to help us find the home we really wanted. Joyce is a warm and pleasant person; she's professionally very savvy and looks out for her clients. More than once she helped us see past the facade to consider issues that would be a problem down the road. We appreciated her honesty and her respect for our wishes and needs. She never tried to persuade or pressure us, and was always willing to go the extra mile. Even when we decided to buy a very small cabin instead of a house (there wasn't much in it for her anymore!) she still put her best effort forward to help us secure the property.
