Born in Seattle and raised on Mercer Island, John's passion for real estate began early. Inspired by Seattle's unique landscape and architectural charm, John quickly became involved in residential restoration & preservation, and promised himself that his career would eventually blend his love of art and architecture. After graduating from Seattle’s Lakeside School, John moved to Los Angeles and earned his degrees in Marketing and Film/Theater from Occidental College.

Upon graduation John was recruited by Walt Disney Studios to work in their Marketing Division. There, John honed his marketing and graphic design skills by working alongside the industry’s best talent on films such as: The Lion King, 101 Dalmatians, and The Hunchback of Notre Dame. Even today, John’s marketing materials are often described as “magical” and “the best in the business” within Seattle’s real estate community. After spending years at Disney in the Marketing Department as a graphic designer, project manager, and, eventually, as a producer, John and his wife Sally dreamed of returning to Seattle to start their family.

Finally back home, John helped Sally fulfill her lifelong dream of bringing her grandmother’s secret Irish scone recipe to market. Seattle Scone Girl Baking Company was born, and thanks to John’s irresistible packaging and marketing strategies, Seattle Scone Girl Scone Mix flew off the shelves. The product’s amazing success, along with the desire to start a family, convinced John and Sally to sell Seattle Scone Girl to a larger company. Best of all, John could now follow his dream and immerse himself in the world of real estate - finally combining all his passions: graphic design, marketing, architecture, photography, copywriting, and home restoration.

John quickly became one of Windermere's top-selling agents. His business has grown exponentially, primarily due to referrals from thrilled clients and word-of-mouth. John credits his success to his innate love of real estate and his ability to REALLY listen to the needs of his clients. He understands that high-impact marketing strategies and captivating advertising materials turn his passion into phenomenal sales success. In his spare time, John volunteers in the Children’s Hospital Playroom and at The Humane Society. You'll often see John in the company of his "co-pilot" Mrs. Peabody, a geriatric shi-tsu with a heart condition and separation anxiety. Unsuitable for adoption at The Humane Society, Petunia joined John and Sally's ever-growing family of loveable misfits.
