As first-time home buyers, we had no idea what we were doing going into this process, and Evan made everything feel so much more manageable. 11/10 - Incredible experience buying a home with Evan. The first word that comes to mind is trust. He had our best interest in mind and swayed us away from properties that he did not fit our vision. We never felt pressured by Evan to make any decision and he was willing to search as long as we needed to find the right house. Beyond trust, he is extremely detail oriented and thorough. He made sure we are educated on the process and left no stone unturned in getting as much information on each house before bidding. As my partner and I purchased our first home together, we didn’t know what we didn’t know. There’s also a period in the home buying process where you have rose colored goggles on and don’t think to ask certain questions or notice certain details. Evan was incredible throughout the entire process. We attended a first time home buyers class with him that helped us become comfortable with the idea of buying a home. Evan took the time to clearly explain the nuances of putting in an offer and we really appreciated his attention to detail here. Buying a home felt daunting at times given the variable nature of the housing market but Evan was always supportive and we never felt pressured to make hasty decisions. We toured over 50 homes with Evan and he taught us something new about home ownership at every one of those visits. We took his free home-buying class first, which was very thorough and made us more confident going into the process.Once we started looking, Evan was patient and offered really valuable insights into the houses we were looking at - frequently crawling into crawl spaces and pointing out unsexy but important details we wouldn’t have noticed, both good and bad. I can’t say enough good things about Evan. This was my first time buying a home, and he was so patient and explained everything I could possibly want to know about the process. He walked me through sample contracts line by line, showed me resources and data for the local Seattle market, and made sure I knew what my non negotiables were in a future home. He also has incredible attention to detail and pointed out things in homes I would never notice myself. We are so happy we had Evan at our side while searching for and purchasing our first home! He helped us understand so much about the home buying process, introduced us to a very knowledgable loan officer, and utilized great strategies to help us seal the deal on our home.
