Elly McKenzie is a fantastic agent. She helped me go from, "I just had this crazy idea that maybe my family should move to Capitol Hill," to being under contract on a new-build townhouse in three weeks! Elly is organized, responsive, has great attention to detail, and goes above and beyond the call of duty. She is very perceptive, quickly figuring out what I liked/disliked and wanted/needed in a home. When the townhouse I liked wasn't quite right, she helped me negotiate an amazing deal that included home customization and upgrades. Elly did a great job communicating with me and the builder throughout a whirlwind timeline, as we closed in 45 days even with tons of work being done on our new home. Little did I know that Elly is even more impressive as a seller's agent! She worked so hard to sell my house, often going way above and beyond. We toured houses in the neighborhood together several times, so that she could get a sense of the market and help me understand both how to set my house apart and how to price it appropriately. I decided to do a lot of work on my house to maximize our sale price. Elly and her partner worked tirelessly to help me find and coordinate contractors, taking over the tasks I wasn't up for doing myself. Once we hit the market they did a fabulous job marketing my house, including a video tour for social media, ads, lots of open houses, and more. I felt completely supported through the entire process and am confident we got the highest possible price in a tricky market. I wholeheartedly recommend Elly if you're looking for a real estate agent! She truly is a unicorn of an agent.

Elly recently helped us sell our house in record time in a slow market. Part of it was luck - but Elly deserves a lot of credit for making sure we were well prepared. She got us in touch with great contractors, made sure we were well-informed and had documentation ready for the buyers (so we could all make decisions quickly), and went the extra mile to take care of our needs - from grabbing us extra screws and boxes to putting out the trash cans when we weren’t around. Elly is an amazing agent. I used her to sell my home in May 2025, and she made the experience easy start to finish. Honestly, if you are looking for a realtor: You just found her. Elly is great - throughout our house purchase, she gave us solid honest guidance, was super transparent and proactive, and overall just a great person. She is super approachable and available, was always first to point out everything we should pay attention to and what it means, and was more than once able to guide me through stressful situations without any hiccup. I genuinely don’t have an idea what she could have done better in the process. If you are looking for a broker to work with, look no further! Elly is the best. She is not only knowledgeable and extremely experienced in her trade, she also goes above and beyond to help her client. With interest rate hikes, turbulent housing market, I was worried that I won't be able to find a place I like within my budget. Elly and her team were very prompt in communication (be it email, text, or call) and also very quick and detailed in preparing the necessary paperwork needed for submitting offer. She took her time to explain the home buying processes as well as things to look out for when checking out the places. She even has a list of contractors/inspectors/electricians/plumbers for when the new home needs a little TLC!
