I’m proud to be a Florence Native

I consider myself blessed to have been born and raised in such a beautiful small town. The Central Oregon Coast’s temperate climate and diverse topography has much to offer its residents and visitors. With 17 lakes, the Siuslaw River and its many tributaries, the Pacific Ocean beaches and National Dunes Recreation Area, there’s always something to do! We live in an environmentally sensitive area with abundant wildlife, wetlands, forestlands and shorelines that can be enjoyed all seasons of the year.  I was never able to find a better place to live, so I was happy to stay here and raise my family. Now my grandchildren are enjoying the coastal life as well.

Florence is located on the Central Oregon Coast, with a small city and airport hub approximately one hour’s drive east to Eugene or South to Coos Bay. We’re a busy town with an active community of volunteers who, when they see a need, roll up their sleeves and get things accomplished for our town and residents. We take pride in our community and it shows.
