• About me: Married 22 years, mother of two kids, one sporty, one adventurous, both in Mercer Island public schools. Beachcomber, snorkeler, paddleboarder, runner, dog lover. 

Christy Shiers has a commitment to excellence that has extended to all of her fields of expertise.  Christy spent 20 years in non-profit education work before deciding to build a career in Real Estate.  With a degree in Biology from the University of Puget Sound and a Masters In Teaching from the University of Washington, Christy has extended her passion for learning and building relationships to the field of Real Estate.

Christy is ready to work with your family to find the best community and home for you.  She has experience working with over 75 schools throughout the Puget Sound area and has an array of knowledge about the many great communities that make up our area. 

Christy moved with her family to the South end of Mercer Island in 2008.  She enjoys the many outdoor spaces the community has to offer as well as the exceptional schools, community programs, and village mentality for raising youth.  Christy can help you find your niche too!

Prior to moving to Bellevue in the early 90s, Christy lived all over the US.  She relocated with her family several times as her dad was an NFL coach.  (Tommy Brasher, now retired after 30+ years in the NFL)  Christy experienced first-hand the impact of relocation on a family and how important it is to find that best-fit community and home.  Prior to settling in the Northwest, Christy lived in 8 homes and 7 cities.  Her family bought and sold 17 homes throughout their journey in professional sports. 

After college, Christy taught high school biology at Newport HS in Bellevue and then spent 15 years in non-profit administration for YMCA Camp Orkila.  Christy continues to be passionate and dedicated to the impact of Orkila programs on schools, communities, families and youth. A portion of every transaction will benefit YMCA Camp Orkila’s scholarship program to provide camp experiences to underserved youth.
