Buying or selling a home is not merely another simple journey in your life. This trip is one of the biggest monetary decisions you will ever make—most likely only a few times in your life.

When you are ready to navigate the bumps and uphill climbs of a Real Estate transaction, you want a teammate with passion, endurance, knowledge and the love of accomplishing all the necessary details with you along your entire path. You want someone who can give you a hand-up when the climbing gets tough.

That’s why I am a Realtor®. That’s why I am a Seniors Real Estate Specialist®. That’s why I am a Windermere Ninja®.  I’d love the opportunity to give you my helping hand during your real estate journey.

Now, a little background on me:

I am a Washington native, born in Seattle.  My grandparents migrated to Seattle in 1909 from Norway.  There my grandfather became a well-known, local salmon fisherman.  My father, a Pearl Harbor survivor, met and married my mother in Seattle.  His Navy service days gave him a love of travel, which I have inherited.  I have journeyed to almost every state in our country, and beyond to Europe, the Middle East and China.

I earned a BBA degree in accounting in Florida.  There, I also fell in love with real estate sales.  I became a managing broker in Florida, where I was licensed from 1998 through 2004.  Selling primarily single-family homes, ranging in price from $300,000 to $2 Million, I worked in a luxury home market located on Jupiter Island, just north of Palm Beach.  Returning to Washington, during nine years spent on San Juan Island, I worked for Windermere'sVacation Rental Home Property Management Dept. in Friday Harbor.

Before joining Windermere Real Estate/Skagit Valley as a broker in December 2017, I worked as a sales representative for Good Sam, a national RV travel companyThis job enabled me to work and travel in a motorhome throughout the U.S. for three wonderful years.

Thus I can assure you, “sales” are in my blood, and a dedication to hard work has always been my focus.  My philosophy is:  "Results matter and caring counts!"

In October 2019, I earned my SRES® designation which stands for Seniors Real Estate Specialist®.  As part of my Real Estate practice, I truly enjoy working with senior buyers and sellers.  Focusing on their needs, desires, and concerns in order to achieve their housing transition is one of the greatest joys of my career.

When I am not involved with real estate, I am a wife, author, traveler, watercolor artist, and photographer.  My husband, Jim, and I live in Burlington with our well-traveled kitty, Snoopy.
