Our move was a shot in the dark. On almost a whim I considered looking for a new home in Eugene Oregon. Dipping a toe in the water, involved planning a trip from northern California to Eugene. I selected a nice BnB near town to get the vibe of Eugene. I was lucky, the place and the hosts were delightful. Prior to the trip I asked the hosts for a referral to a real estate agent in the area. They suggested Aaron Bloom, who I contacted right away. Aaron was quite responsive. He called me back and spent almost an hour on the phone with me to determine my needs and tastes. A day after arriving on our investigative trip we met with Aaron and his assistant Melissa Amour. They were both professional, welcoming and warm. I had spent some time browsing the internet for potential properties. Aaron and Melissa set up showings of some of our favorites and we viewed houses. My list was varied as I felt different places could meet our needs in different ways. We went from duplexes to executive homes to fixer uppers. Aaron gave great advice, was tolerant of our varied interests and completely understood if we drove up to a place and simply stated, "no" this won't work. We moved on... Aaron gave great information about different areas of the town, good qualities of different areas and what areas might not work for us. Our favorite place was located along the McKenzie River, outside of Springfield. While I never felt a log home would be our cup of tea, this place checked a lot of boxes. After our week in Eugene we returned to CA. Staying in touch with Aaron and Melissa and being inquisitive about the "river place". Aaron informed me over the weekend that an offer was being presented on the place. My partner and I decided we'd like to make an offer as well. Our offer was presented by Aaron and countered by the sellers. We then settled on a deal. We requested a very short escrow period as we were ready to make a move. Escrow was set to close in 10 days. Through the diligence of all the parties we closed in 7 days. Phenomenal! Here I am, in my new home, banging out this review with the view and rushing sounds of the river just outside the door, in less than a month. Not only did Aaron and Melissa do a swift and wonderful job in helping us relocate, they provided connections, advice and sweet gifts to congratulate our purchase. My wife and I have now used Aaron for both a sale as well as a purchase. His approach to the selling process met with our standards and exceeded them in many cases. We knew who to contact when we began our search for a smaller, second home in Eugene. There were some ups and downs in finding the right property but he continued his search, even providing FaceTime tours within a half hour of identifying a property.
