I was lucky to grow up in North Kitsap. My family had a horse farm on Bainbridge Island during elementary and middle school. We moved to Indianola when I was 14 and I graduated from North Kitsap High School in 1985. I knew Joni Kimmel, my business partner, in high school and we often laugh about how we never would have imagined that we would be selling real estate 35 years later together. I moved to the East coast after high school and graduated with a BFA in ceramics from the Tyler School of Art in Philadelphia. As much as I loved the fast pace of a big East coast city, I missed the Northwest. I returned to Kitsap County with my husband, Tony, in 1991. We purchased 5 acres in Indianola and built our home ourselves. We now have a daughter in college, a daughter graduating from high school, and a son who is a junior in high school. Thirteen chickens, a rescue dog named Izzy and a terribly naughty cat named Marceline keep life interesting.

My husband, Tony, was a professor at the Seattle Art Institute for 17 years and now has a timberframing business called Periscope Woodcraft. When he isn't building things, he plays in the local band PAUNDY. I can often be found walking on the Indianola beach, mountain biking in the Port Gamble trail system, or doing laps at a local pool. On a whim I started doing comedy sketches about real estate, motherhood, and the madness of modern life as a way to raise money for local organizations. To date I have performed at the Admiral Theater, at 12 Minutes Max (On the Boards), at the Bainbridge Performing Arts Center, the Indianola Clubhouse, Suncadia Lodge, the Treehouse Cafe, the Jewel Box Theater, etc. I have performed for numerous non profit organizations like the Kathleen Sutton Fund, the Seattle Cancer Care Alliance, and Coffee Oasis.

I can’t live without the beaches, mountains, and forests that surround my home. I’m thrilled to be living in a place with so many opportunities for outdoor activities while also being so close to what Seattle has to offer. It gives me great pleasure to introduce new people to this area and to help local families and individuals make well informed decisions about selling and/or buying a home for the first time, “buying up”, downsizing, and purchasing investment properties. Joni and I pride ourselves on not only exceeding people’s expectations, but also making what is often a difficult and stressful process an enjoyable one.
