A Seattle native, Jake loves the outdoors. Normally not one to bang his own drum, he proudly claims the honor of being "the finest fisherman in all of Washington and Alaska." Jake honed his fishing skills in the heyday of the Alaska Pipeline "gold rush" in the 70s, when he owned three restaurants in Fairbanks. Jake continues to make several trips north every year to fish for salmon and halibut. His Alaska adventures have also included being treed by a grizzly bear and stalked by a pack of wolves.
