Where does success start? Is it from our first breath, or the first day on the job? Who could truly know the answer? What’s certain is that preparing yourself for success often comes down to the choices you’ve made along the way. It all comes back to your roots, the foundations you’ve built within yourself.

I was born and raised in Prineville, Oregon, a small town where hard work isn’t just encouraged, it’s expected. From a young age, I’ve always had a drive for success. While my friends went to the movies or hung out after school, I was clocking in for my shift. I watched them make memories while I looked down at the next order I was taking. At the time, I may have regretted it. Maybe I should have listened when the older folks told me, “You’re only a kid once—go have fun.” But that’s where I stand out. Now, I look back and realize those jobs I had as a kid gave me far more than just a paycheck. They built work ethic and dedication, the foundation necessary for success.

That dedication carried into every job I’ve held since. Jobs my friends often turned down because they were “too hard” or required “too many hours.” But I embraced them. Working with construction crews under the scorching summer sun isn’t easy. The long, hot days test your patience and build irritation, but they also teach you how to keep your composure and finish the task at hand.

Today, I’m putting those values to use in my work as a licensed real estate agent in Oregon. Being part of this industry means more than closing deals, it’s about building trust, showing up for people, and helping them through a meaningful transition in their lives. Whether someone is buying their first home or moving on to a new chapter, I approach each situation with the same steady work ethic and committed mindset I learned growing up.
