I started with Windermere in 1986. In the ensuing 20+ years I have had the opportunity to see this organization grow from a successful Seattle company to the 10 state powerhouse it is today. The growth has not really been a surprise because I have had the privilege to work with the founders and leaders of Windermere. Their commitment to excellence and their loyalty to the people of this company has created an environment where the goal is individual success through a shared philosophy which has collectively built this company.

My road to becoming the owner broker of Windermere Bainbridge Island has not exactly been a direct one. My first 24 years were spent in Southern California; Newport Beach, Laguna Beach and Santa Barbara. My undergraduate degree was University of California Santa Barbara in Economics where I stayed to work in banking. I then moved to Bainbridge to pursue more education (an MBA from the University of Washington in Finance) and my passion of sailboat racing. I combined boat building, racing and the study of finance

After graduation, a stint in the marine industry and the birth of my first son, I was enticed back to Southern California to begin my career in property management. I spent the next two years developing and managing buildings in Pasadena, Newport Beach and Pomona. In 1984 I returned to Bainbridge to work for Windermere Services managing buildings and helping set up Windermere offices in the Puget Sound region. I then formed Windermere Property Management which I operated for the next 13 years.

When I heard Windermere Bainbridge might be available, I jumped at the opportunity. Windermere Bainbridge is the pre-ultimate Windermere office. From its inception the ownership and the agents have embraced and conducted their business the Windermere Way. Honesty, ethics, service and experience were the requirements to being a member of Windermere Bainbridge. By steadfastly following their creed, Windermere Bainbridge grew to dominate this marketplace. My largest fear was to do something to tarnish the reputation or performance of this office. One of our beliefs is to give back to our community. One of the great perks of this job has been to become more involved with our wonderful community. Being released from commuting and children growing up has enabled me to participate with a wide range of community groups. So life is good. I have a wonderful family, live in a spectacular place and work with truly amazing people. Who could ask for more?
