I'm a Windermere Real Estate broker with the National Association of Realtor's Senior Real Estate Specialist designation (SRES). What that means is that in addition to helping younger sellers and buyers (and it's especially wonderful handing keys to an excited first-time buyer), I'm privileged with many opportunities to help my senior clients navigate through the major financial and lifestyle transitions involved in relocating, selling or refinancing their family home. I've had extensive education on topics such as tax laws, estate planning, probate, and equity conversion strategies. I also maintain a curated list of reputable repair and service specialists for my clients.

I've lived in Snohomish County nearly my entire life and have a strong appreciation for this area and its unique communities. On my website, www.northsoundliving, I write about life and real estate in the North Sound. Although my office is located in north Snohomish County, I've served clients in Whatcom, King and Pierce counties as well.

When it came time to begin my career in real estate, there was no question about which firm I would join. I wanted to align myself with the best, so I chose Windermere. As an outsider, I knew Windermere was a top-notch brokerage; as an insider, I have been consistently impressed with the quality of service our firm extends to our clients. "The client's best interest is what matters most" is not just an adage -- it's a mindset at Windermere. I'm delighted to work with people who truly care about the people we serve.

The most compelling and satisfying aspect of Real Estate for me is the chance to meet new people. You are the fascinating part of this journey, and I am thankful for the opportunity to walk a bit of it with you. In addition to having a thorough understanding of this area, I’m a skilled communicator and a rigorous negotiator. Whether you’re looking for your first home or downsizing in those empty nest years, as your realtor, I am your advocate, and I will bring every skill I possess to the table.

A few little odds and ends about me:

I was a writer and editor for 22 years before starting my real estate career in 2014. I'm the author of two nonfiction books and the co-author or ghostwriter of 14 others. My writing and publishing life opened many doors for me. I've had the great privilege of traveling, teaching and speaking to writers and women's conferences all over the world.

I am a past chair of the annual realtor Food Drive for my office and am still very active helping to raise funds for our local food bank. I am a current board member for the Windermere Foundation for Snohomish County and am preparing to test for my managing broker's license. I'm the delighted grandmother of two and love spending time introducing them to art, cooking, gardening and herbalism.
