Footnotes
- Kitchen & Eating Inlet
Remodeled in recent years, the spacious, airy kitchen enjoys newer cabinetry, stainless steel appliances (built-in microwave, fridge and gas range/oven included), recessed lighting, newer oak flooring and a hanging pot rack. Plus, there's space for a good-sized dining table and four chairs.
- Living Room
The living room is lit by large, picture windows with perfect exposure to the south and west. This is the only unit on this floor which does not look out onto a street. Instead, this unit peers into the grassy side lot and has a territorial view of gorgeous, spendy Queen Anne homes.
- Bedroom
The bedroom is truly massive! Especially for construction of this vintage. And there's a south-facing picture window of the same scale, which looks over the private side lot owned by The Willmar. There is also a wide reach-in closet with sliding doors, and a second closet.
- Hallway
The charming hallway facilitates this unit's perfect circular flow. It's generously wide and enjoys 8.5' ceilings like the rest of the unit. Plus, a unique pattern in the Mahogany ribbon inlay...
- Bathroom
Have fun remodeling this wonderfully sized bathroom into your dream mini-spa. Unless you're fond of the 4x4 pink ceramic wall tile and blueish linoleum floor squares, of course.
- Garden & Grounds
The Willmar takes up nearly half a block in a very residential part of top-middle Queen Anne. The 15-unit building owns a side lot to the south, and a bank of garages. The grassy lot hosts residents' gardens and is perfect for a yard party.
The Willmar and its side lot.
- Unit 4 is the back corner of the building and faces the grassy side lot.
- Terraced garden beds enjoy perfect south and west exposure.
- Details of the Willmar's entrance.
- Private Garages
There are eight private garages. While no garage comes with Unit 4, you can get on a wait list for one. They usually come up every year. Monthly rental is $50. The garage structures were upgraded very recently.
- Unit Details
Many of the building's early 1900's period details are intact, including hardware, wood trim and Mahogany ribbon inlay in the oak hardwoods.
- Laundry Area
The laundry room is just one level below (although not located directly under the unit). Easy access. Costs just fifty cents to wash and fifty cents to dry. Plus, a deep two-basin laundry sink and clothesline.
- Storage Unit
It's slightly hard to tell from this photo, but unit 4 is located to the left of the photo and enjoys double the vertical space of the other units' storage areas. In the background you can see how the other units split the upper and lower space.
- Workshop & Bike Storage
Adjacent to the laundry room is a workshop with space for bicycle storage. Great place to do small projects which you wouldn't want to perform in your unit.
- Steps to...
You're a pleasant walk to staples of an urban lifestyle atop Queen Anne hill. Enjoy the likes of Metropolitan Market and other grocery stores, any type of cuisine you crave, indie coffee and more.
