- Quaint Old Town Mukilteo
Mukilteo is rich in history. The name Mukilteo is an Indian name meaning "good campground". It is a quaint little town that is located on a point off the Puget Sound and Port Gardner Bay. When the Northwest was being explored, Captain Vancouver and Captain Puget both stayed along Mukilteo's coast. You can board the local ferry to Whidbey Island, which is one of the longest islands in the United States. On a clear day from Mukilteo you can take in the sites of two mountain ranges and numerous islands along with ever-changing maritimes activities and an occational view of whales, seals and eagles. Mukilteo is a beautiful town.

The newer section of Mukilteo is a planned community which compliments the charm and character of "Old Town". Harbour Pointe offers numerous restaurants and shops, plus a new Library, Great YMCA with skateboard park, and an award winning 18 hole golf course. Along Harbour Pointe Boulevard you will find a variety of neighborhoods and schools.
This is the new Library. The architecture, view of the forest and the fireplace in the back all create a wonderfully serene environment to read or research a topic. It is centrally located so a variety of ages in the community use this facility.

Kamiak High School is located on Harbour Pointe Boulevard.
