Some of his efforts include: St. Thomas Montessori School Board; Fort Vancouver Regional Library Forum Committee; Southwest Washington Youth Taskforce; Evergreen Schools Vocational Education Advisory Committee; Washougal Schools Foundation; Fire District #1 Commissioner; Camas/Washougal Youth Soccer Coach; Washington State Lewis & Clark Bicentennial Advisory Committee; and the establishment of a new 85-acre park on the Columbia River: “Captain William Clark Park at Cottonwood Beach.”

About Roger:

In 2001, the Camas/Washougal Chamber of Commerce selected Roger as “Citizen of the Year” for his involvement in passing school bonds and levies, establishing the Washougal Schools Foundation and organizing the East County Lewis & Clark Bicentennial Committee. He is a graduate of Clark College, the University of Washington and holds an Masters in Public Administration from Portland State University. He is a former Clark College administrator where he served as the Coordinator of Admissions, Director of Student Programs and Athletic Director. While at Clark, he helped establish the Running Start program and served as a transfer advisor between Clark College and Washington State University-Vancouver and other regional universities. In 2005, Roger was selected as one of Clark College's "Outstanding Alumni." And, in 2012, Roger was selected into Clark College's "Athletic Hall of Fame." Roger’s unique background makes him a valuable resource for anyone moving to Southwest Washington.
