I learned in the first week of my real estate career that helping people to achieve investment and income goals using real estate was what I wanted to do. The fifteen plus years since that memorable first week have been spent watching clients and friends generate great wealth using the power of real estate investing. It has given me great confidence in the critical importance of commercial and investment real estate in the pursuit of financial freedom and independence.

Over a career pursuing commercial investment real estate brokerage opportunities, I have honed my knowledge and skills while building upon my prior experience. In 2016, after considerable course work, and completion of an extensive portfolio qualifying experience, I earned the notable CCIM designation - a recognition  fewer than 5% of commercial brokers have the education or experience to receive.

In 2018 I stepped back from residential real estate completely, and currently maintain only a limited role in commercial/multifamily/investment brokerage, though am available for consultation and co-brokerage assistance as well.

About me…

Raised on Whidbey Island and a graduate of Coupeville Schools, I possess a deep love and appreciation for the features and aspects of our Island that make this the best place to live, raise a family, and retire. After 5 years away, attending college and working in the city, I returned to Whidbey in 2005 and began my career in Real Estate. In 2007 I married my wife and childhood friend, Tina Lyness (now Joiner). We make our home in Coupeville and with our three boys. A supporting member of my local church and many local charities, I prioritize giving to my community over taking from it. I have served my industry as President of the Whidbey Island Association of Realtors, on the Executive Board for Washington Realtors and the Board of Directors for Washington Realtors. In 2012 I was honored by my peers as Realtor of the Year.
